Vertana

Connector

Vertana in Claude and ChatGPT

Add Vertana to the AI app you already use. Anyone can run a free check of a local business's Google listing and homepage. Vertana clients can also see their own reviews, Google activity, and the changes we're making.

Connector URL

https://mcp.vertana.ai/mcp

Connect

Claude. Go to Settings, then Connectors. If Vertana is listed in the directory, choose it. Otherwise choose Add custom connector, name it Vertana, paste the connector URL, and select Connect. Leave the advanced OAuth fields blank.

ChatGPT. Go to Settings, then Apps & Connectors, and choose Vertana if it’s listed. To add it by URL, your ChatGPT plan may need developer mode turned on.

Either way, a Vertana sign-in window opens. Sign in with an email code, a password, or Google. Vertana clients should use the email address their invitation was sent to.

Free tools (any signed-in account)

find_my_business
Finds a business's Google listing by name with city and state, or by website.
get_free_fix
Checks the Google listing and homepage and returns up to 3 plain-language fixes that can help the business get more calls from Google.
request_vertana_contact
Asks Vertana to contact you about the business from your last check. This is the only tool that shares your email with Vertana, and it runs only when you ask.

Free checks are limited to 3 a day per account and one check of the same business a day. The fixes are written from what we can see on the listing and homepage. Every business is different, so we can’t promise results.

Client tools (Vertana clients)

These appear only when your account is linked to a Vertana client business, and they show that business only. They read information; they don’t change anything.

get_business_summary
Calls, direction requests, and website clicks from your Google listing for the last 7 or 28 days, compared with the period before, plus your rating, new reviews, and what Vertana changed.
list_reviews
Your Google reviews, newest first, with your reply if there is one. Can show only reviews waiting for a reply.
what_should_i_do_this_week
The short list of things that need you this week: reviews to answer, changes waiting on you, and setup steps left.
get_onboarding_status
Which setup steps are done for your business.
list_requests
Your change requests and where each one stands.
get_request
One change request by its code, such as R12, with its preview link and status.

Try it

  • “Find Joe’s Pizza in Boulder, CO and give me the free fixes.”
  • “Run the free check on joespizza.com.”
  • Clients: “How did my business do on Google this week?”
  • Clients: “Which reviews still need a reply?”
  • Clients: “What do I need to do this week?”

Your data

The connector receives only what a tool needs, such as the business you search for. It doesn’t receive your conversation or chat history. A free check doesn’t share your email; it goes to Vertana only if you use request_vertana_contact. Free-check records and tool logs are deleted after 12 months. Details are in the privacy policy. To remove the connector, disconnect it in your AI app’s settings. To delete your account and its records, email jb@vertana.ai.

Troubleshooting

The sign-in window keeps coming back.
Disconnect Vertana in your AI app's settings, connect again, and finish signing in. If you use a password manager or a strict browser setting, allow accounts.vertana.ai.
"That tool works only for accounts linked to a Vertana client business."
The account you signed in with isn't linked to a client business. Vertana clients get an invitation by email; sign in with the address it was sent to.
"You've reached the free-check limit."
Each account gets 3 free checks a day and one check of the same business a day. Try again tomorrow.
The search can't find the business.
Add the city and state, for example "Joe's Pizza Boulder CO", or check by website instead.
The numbers say "data as of" an earlier time.
Your business data refreshes every few minutes and Google's listing numbers run about 3 days behind. If the time looks old, try again shortly.
